Holiday Impact

When a major holiday falls on a weekday the REFUSE and RECYCLING (if a recycling week) will be picked up the following day. All subsequent collection days during a holiday week will be postponed one day. Friday collections will be serviced on Saturday during weeks with a holiday. Below are the major holidays that could impact the schedule:

New Years Day

Memorial Day

Independence Day

Labor Day

Thanksgiving Day

Christmas Day

Please be sure that both your refuse and recycling containers are curbside by 6:00 am. Containers placed out after 6:00 am may not be serviced that week.

Note: Trash must be placed in trash containers provided by Casella/Willimantic Waste. Trash cans cannot contain lawn debris, bulky waste items, electronics, items containing freon, sheetrock, construction and demolition materials. Those items must be taken to the Transfer Station located at 73 Rogers Road (fees may apply). Containers must be covered to prevent rain and snow from filling containers.
